A great American songwriter has passed away. Bill Morrissey was a master of his craft, and like most greats, was somewhat under appreciated for his work during his life. Like Townes Van Zandt, a lot of Bill's songs tend to dwell in a type of melancholy, but a beautiful melancholy - like the way a huge purple storm front is exhilarating or an abandoned old barn is mysterious and timeless.
