Dylan / Russell

Bob Dylan

Leon Russell

I'll be in Pensacola FL July 27 to see Bob Dylan. This will be my fifth Dylan show and i am really looking forward to it. Unlisted on the official tour dates, and to my great surprise, the opening act is none other than Leon Russell! This should be a great night of music.

Last time i saw these two together (on television) was the 1971 George Harrison 'Concert for Bangladesh' which is great and one in which i think Leon stole the show, especially his rendition of 'Young Blood.'

saw the show last night in Evansville, IN; Aug. 2.
Fabulous. Leon did an abbreviated opening set. Walked on and off stage with a cane. His band was wonderful. His songs and medleys were sort of like the playlist of a bar band.
Bob was Totally ON last night. His last stop here he was lackluster and unenthusiastic. This show was top notch. LOVED IT!!!!!! What did you think of the tour?

hi,i agree - bob seems a little more enthusiastic on this tour - at least more openly so - ive seen dylan several times, this current tour being perhaps the best, of course it doesnt hurt when you have the great Leon opening up! i wrote a little review of the concert here:
