Today we lost Ray Price. He was my favorite country music singer.

He gave a 'farewell statement' to his fans last week:

"I love my fans and have devoted my life to reaching out to them. I appreciate their support all these years, and I hope I haven't let them down. I am at peace. I love Jesus. I'm going to be just fine. Don't worry about me. I'll see you again one day."

I was honored to meet Mr. Price last year. He told my 7 year old how he really liked his red hair.

We were able to catch Ms. Bonnie Raitt in concert a few days ago. She was in fine form as always. She mentioned doing some recordings with Dr. John once the tour ended up in New Orleans.
