In my mind "Mean Gene" left Howard Cosell in the dust as far as sports announcers were concerned. The wrestlers were always frothing at the mouth and spitting all over him when they responded to his "No holds barred" questions. No nonsense Mr. Okerlund.
i agree - and to me, he is on the short-list of the 'voices of pro-wrestling' along with Gordon Solie, Gorilla Monsoon and Jim Ross - there are some others too did you go to the live event?
